Andolana Tribe and Project Aware Moving For A Good Cause

One of Andolana Tribe's mission is to find ways to help Mother Nature by giving back in any small or big gestures and to also help bring awareness on how our daily actions do have a profound effect on our planet. We are not all able to make these tremendous changes in our lives to go fully green but we can take it upon us to find ways to help our planet become greener in any way that we can. This is why Andolana Tribe's Founder, Andrea decided to go face one of her biggest fears by getting her Padi certification to be able to go clean the oceans and help marine life.

She came about Project Aware, a non-profit organization that found a way to unite scuba divers to take action within the ocean world. Project AWARE® is a global movement for ocean protection powered by a community of adventurers. They connect the passion for ocean adventure with the purpose of marine conservation to create lasting change for the ocean. They envision a future where the ocean no longer needs protection.

We decided for the month of April to offer online donation classes to help raise money for this amazing cause!! You can join any of our Tuesday 10 am Yoga or Fitness classes by clicking here. We will be raising money for Project AWARE and here's how your contribution will make an impact:

Your action fuels Project Aware by:

Protecting vulnerable marine life – due to the current limits on international travel, we must shift gears and prioritize a virtual campaign. Project AWARE’s global audience has the passion and capacity to show the world how important sharks and rays are and their protection must be a priority.

Reduce pollution - Project AWARE’s flagship Dive Against Debris program has been part of a marine debris research collaboration with The Ocean Conservancy and CSIRO. There is a research paper currently undergoing peer review that highlights the potential service Dive Against Debris can provide to national and local governments with a monitoring service that can provide data on debris management policies and also evaluate meeting global conservation commitments, for example, the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. We must move forward with this unique data to prevent and reduce pollution in our ocean.

Thank you for your support and for being part of this community. Your action will help #TeamOcean reach its goal to raise $25,000, supporting the ocean and its wildlife.
